PRESENTATION OF LIFE PAVETHEWAYSTE PROJECT FROM THE NTUA TEAM

13/07/2017: NTUA team also hosted a 1-day workshop in collaboration with the Green Fund of Greece and representatives from the National Contact Points of LIFE from Bulgaria and Hungary. Experiences of the Unit of Environmental Science Technology on preparing successful proposals and implementing LIFE projects were discussed. NTUA presented, inter alia, the case of LIFE PAVEtheWAySTE project.

WORKSHOP FOR PUBLIC CONSULTATION WITH INTERESTED STAKEHOLDERS AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY OF ANCIENT OLYMPIA

16 July 2016: A workshop was held as a forum for public consultation on the integrated waste management strategies developed for the selected communities of Ancient Olympia, which consist target areas of the project. Invited stakeholders (waste management companies, industries for recycling materials) and local residents attended the workshop on the afternoon of Saturday 16/07/2016 in order to participate in the discussion on the sustainable management of waste, the valorization methods of recyclable materials contained in MSW and the multiple benefits resulting for the quality of life of residents and local markets.

Project Implementation areas

The proposed  innovative technology which will be developed in the framework of the project will be implemented in two Greek remote areas, namely the Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades Islands (Small Islands of Donousa, Schinousa, Iraklia, Koufonisia) and the Municipality of Ancient Olympia.
