24 February 2017: A networking meeting was held at NTUA facilities with LIFE PAYT: "Tool to Reduce waste in South Europe (LIFE15 ENV/PT/000609)".
The discussion took place about the complementarity of objectives of the two projects:
- Reduction of household’s residual waste
- Increasing of recycling rates for recyclable waste
- Increasing of environmental awareness of citizens, decision-makers and various important stakeholders.
To this end, the project teams exchanged beneficial information on consultation and informative events’ organization and the importance of raising awareness about source separation method to reinforce waste prevention and reduce residual waste, thus, achieve the lowest PAYT tariff for households.
