The Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades Islands is a remote, insular area, yet a famous tourist destination. The Municipality comprises a group of four small islands around Naxos and Naxos Island, situated in the heart of the Aegean Sea, with a total population of 20,000. The Municipality of Naxos is a very active and sensitive Municipality in environmental protection issues. Natural environment is of great importance and the Municipality implements an integrated policy for its protection.
